Quantum Immortality 0.4.3
Early Access · Intel x86_64 Mac · macOS 14 or later · VST3 audio effect
Requires a compatible VST3 host and incoming audio. No standalone app, AU/AAX, Windows, Linux, Universal or native Apple Silicon build is included. Native version 0.4.3 is unchanged; this distribution is packaging revision privacy-r2.
Install
- Save your work and quit audio hosts normally before installing or removing the plugin.
- Extract the whole ZIP with Archive Utility and keep its files together.
- Open ZPSQuantumImmortality Audition Installer.app through normal macOS controls. Its retained Audition Installer title belongs to the tested installer; it installs the Quantum Immortality 0.4.3 payload in this package.
- Choose Install / Update. The guarded installer verifies the expected identity and payload, refuses loaded or unknown modified destinations, and keeps an update backup outside the plugin scan folder. It installs only the user-level ZPSQuantumImmortality.vst3.
- Open your host, enable/rescan VST3 if needed, and load Quantum Immortality. Start with quiet monitoring and your own audio; save a new test session before relying on it in production.
The bundles are locally ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID signed or notarized. Ordinary browser-downloaded GUI/Gatekeeper installation is not qualified. macOS may block the app. Keep normal OS security enabled; if blocked, stop and contact support. Do not remove quarantine, disable Gatekeeper or bypass security warnings.
Use
Capture and retain a note or chord, then transform that same source. In Manual mode, use Capture / Hold to acquire incoming audio and Release / Panic to release it. Resume Source explicitly starts an already retained source; Clear Source removes it. A new instance contains no source. Saving a session can retain your captured audio, but reopening remains disarmed. Presets and A/B store parameters; they do not replace the captured source. Do not distribute a saved session or preset containing private recorded material.
Processing chooses Effects or Playground; they are alternative paths, both visible on the single panel. In Effects, choose Drive, Chorus or Echo with Effect Type; Amount controls transformation in Manual mode. Motion affects Chorus speed or Echo spacing, while Tone affects the transformed branch. In Playground, use Play Mode (Stutter, Slice, Reverse, Scrub), Activity, Position / Scan, Rate / Pitch, Slice Size, Repeat Count and Direction. Clock Sync, Clock Time, Clock Division and Beat Grid set timing; unsupported/missing host tempo uses the displayed fallback. Pattern Lock and the editable seed make patterns repeatable. New Pattern changes the seed without recapturing.
In Expression control mode, heel releases; roughly 5–10% travel produces clean hold, and higher travel transforms. Automate the existing Expression parameter or map your controller through your host. Dry Level and Held Level are separate levels, not one wet/dry knob. Begin with modest Held Level and Output; release with heel or Panic before leaving a session. A retained source may remain visible while output is silent.
Try Clean Chord first, then Frozen Shards for the Playground. Save Preset, A/B and Copy to Other compare settings without replacing source audio. The 90% and 100% views expose all 33 controls. Input/output meters and source/output traces are measurements; the cosmic artwork is decorative.
Remove and restore
Save and close hosts normally. Open the same installer and choose Remove. It removes only verified matching files and preserves a backup; user presets remain. Reinstall with Install / Update when required. Keep the installer result and your download for recovery. If an unknown or modified installation is refused, contact support rather than deleting files manually. No developer audition Set, source packet or old private package is required for a fresh install.
Evidence and limitations
Zero added direct-path latency. A manual hold can continue until released; it is not a finite-tail delay. The retained source is disarmed on reopen. Native and scoped Live tests cover source preservation, controls and state recall. Recorded Live automation playback, hardware pedal/audio-interface stress and screen-reader qualification have not been performed for this release package.
Focused offline tests on this exact privacy-clean payload cover native identity/defaults, state/A-B recall, sample-level audio parity, SDK validation and isolated installer behavior. Earlier native editor/CPU and scoped Live 11 evidence is inherited from the equivalent installed build, not a new Live or consumer-install test of this ZIP. Full hardware latency includes the host, interface and any surrounding chain. No broad host support, guaranteed performance or artistic acceptance is implied.
Privacy packaging and artwork
The distribution omits developer guides, saved sessions, captured audio, user presets and private machine metadata. Developer debug metadata and verified SDK diagnostic path prefixes were removed, then nested hashes and ad-hoc signatures regenerated. Executable instructions, plugin identities, defaults, DSP and artwork/resources are unchanged; audio and state parity are tested. This does not disable your ability to save your own settings or Quantum source audio.
The approved visual assets include AI-assisted artwork, integrated with native controls and real measurements. Original runtime art bytes, color information and any embedded provenance are preserved. No newly generated artwork or fabricated plugin activity is used in this release.
License and support
See LICENSE.txt and the unchanged third-party notices in notices/. No subscription or online plugin activation is required. Gumroad protects access to the purchased download; native activation is not enforced.
