Tamaraw manual
Early Access installation and compatibility
This 1.0.0 release is a macOS VST3 audio effect, available as an Intel package containing HD and Low CPU. The deployment target is macOS 14 or later. Choose the package for your Mac on the product page. No Windows, Linux, AU or AAX download is offered here.
The packages are ad-hoc signed, not Apple Developer ID signed or notarized. Ordinary browser-downloaded installation and a complete Ableton save/reopen check are not yet verified for this naming build. Native audio, state and editor checks on Intel are separate from customer-host qualification. Apple Silicon execution is not established by Intel testing.
Keep normal macOS security enabled. If macOS refuses execution, stop and contact support with the exact message. Do not disable Gatekeeper, remove quarantine or bypass a warning.
Save your work and quit audio hosts normally before installing. Extract the complete ZIP and use the included guarded installer and installation instructions. Start a fresh Set with this release. The installer checks package integrity, preserves unknown or modified files and keeps recovery outside plugin scan folders. A checksum proves file integrity, not notarization or universal compatibility.
Accessibility QA is not yet claimed. Support: [email protected].

Controls
| Control | Behavior |

| PW | 0–127; default 0. Changes pulse, sputter and gating character. |
| Bite | Boost switch; default off. |
| Volume | 0–1; default 0.25. |
| Bypass | Bottom lamp lit means effect active. Dry transition retains the established latency. |
| IN/OUT | Sample-peak meters follow the audio. |
Working in your host
Drag knobs vertically. Shift-drag or wheel makes fine changes. Arrow keys adjust a focused knob; Home resets it. Space or Enter activates a focused switch. Host automation uses the same parameters.
Tamaraw reports 128 samples of latency, which your host must compensate. Wet processing takes the left input and sends the fuzz to both outputs; it is not a stereo-preserving wet effect. Bypass retains the stereo dry signal through the established transition. HD and Low CPU are different engines, not a promise of identical sound.
Compatibility and installation
See the Early Access limitations above and the product page for available exact packages. Use the included installation/removal instructions only through normal OS-approved operation; no platform or host compatibility is implied by a package being listed.
